The Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends is a unique charity, in that it not only provides a range of retail services within local hospitals, but also provides supported housing for clients with enduring mental illness.
We know that volunteering is a rewarding and satisfying experience, our current volunteers tell us this all the time. Volunteering provides an opportunity to meet people and make new friends in a friendly environment.
In 2016 the League of Friends raised money via the Coffee Bars to help with projects, including renovation of the Summer House at Cannock Chase Hospital, an Art Therapy Project at County Hospital, Stafford and Art for Health and furniture at St. George’s Hospital Norbury Ward.
We provide a variety of accommodation including single person flats and shared accommodation for those wishing to live independently but who need help and support to achieve this.
We are committed to providing the best possible services to our partner organisations, delivering outstanding support, guidance and assistance.
Stafford and Cannock League of Hospital Friends are committed to reducing homelessness and social disadvantage through it’s provision of specialist housing services primarily with those who suffer from mental illness.
We are committed to providing services through individually tailored support plans for each resident within a framework of the recovery model, equal opportunities, diversity, anti-discrimination and respect.
Our staff work within a multi-disciplinary team and work in partnership with statutory services, in particular: Social Services, NHS Trusts, Probation Service, Medical Practitioners and Social Housing Providers to assist in the successful resettlement and rehabilitation of those using our service.
