Aims and Objectives

Our key objectives are to provide modern furnished accommodation for those wishing to live independently but need help and support to achieve this.  We will work with our residents to support and empower them to achieve their goals and aspirations assisting in their resettlement and rehabilitation and enable them to return safely to live in the community.
To achieve our aims we have set a number of objectives:

Support:  Whilst recognising the damaging effects of mental illness our Inclusion Workers will work with residents to help them recognise the ‘triggers’ that can contribute to an episode of mental illness/offending and support them to develop coping strategies to help with the healing process.  A holistic approach is at the heart of what we do.
Move-on and Resettlement: assisting new residents to settle in their accommodation, helping to claim relevant welfare benefits, payment of rent, maximising income/debt management and budgeting.  We will assist residents to ‘Move-On’ into independent accommodation once they have completed their individual support plan, ‘My Footsteps to Independence’ and have gained the skills and confidence to sustain a tenancy of their own in the future.
Encouraging and enabling individuals to become confident and empowering them to make informed decisions and take control of their lives.
